Each area page covers the council's parking rules for a move (checked on the council's own site and dated), the homes and access you're likely to meet, and the nearest stations. Parking rules are set by the council, so they're grouped by borough.
Barnet
- Finchley (N3): one-hour weekday zones on the streets we checked, and a ridge with steep side streets.
- East Finchley (N2): mostly Barnet, with part of N2 in Haringey.
- High Barnet (EN5): Zone C runs Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6.30pm.
- Golders Green (NW11): flats above shop parades, and Barnet's moving-home dispensation.
- Mill Hill (NW7): steep lanes on the Ridgeway, Millbrook Park flats, and a £51.90 moving-home dispensation.
Haringey
- Muswell Hill (N10): the MH zone runs seven days a week, 11am to 1pm.
- Crouch End & Hornsey (N8): zones controlled for as little as two hours a day.
- Highgate (N6): split down the High Street between Haringey and Camden.
- Bounds Green (N11): zones controlled for two hours a day, and three councils in one postcode.
- Wood Green (N22): a new 24/7 red route on the High Road, and a zone that runs to 10pm every day.
Enfield
- Palmers Green (N13): a moving-house dispensation instead of a bay suspension, and strict loading limits on yellow lines.
- Southgate (N14): a listed station on a roundabout, a moving-house dispensation, and zones from one hour to all day.
Hackney
- Stoke Newington (N16): a moving-day bay discount, the Church Street bus gate and School Streets.
Camden
- Hampstead (NW3): steep hills, narrow streets and steps.
- Camden Town (NW1): stucco terraces, cobbled mews and busy streets.
- Kentish Town (NW5): stucco terraces and converted flats, and a zone that runs to 11pm near Kentish Town West.
Islington
- Islington (N1): free moving-day parking for liveried removal vans in some cases.
- Highbury (N5): Georgian terraces over basement areas, and extra parking controls on Arsenal match days.
- Archway & Tufnell Park (N19): free moving-day parking in Islington, Camden's first-day concession, and a 24-hour zone on Highgate Hill.
